Hello! My name is Thomas Smith and I am a computational neuroscientist, website + software developer, outdoorsman, artist, and aspirational DIY tinkerer.
Above all, my passions lie around the harmonious integrations between technology and biology. My goals surround the feasibility of aiding human performance through symbiotic neurological implants controlled by your own human behavior and consciousness.
As a young adult, I have found that acquiring funds to fuel my advanced projects are difficult to find. Even after having multiple jobs, I always found that my endeavors where put on hold, waiting to save up enough money to buy the pieces needed for a completed project. Eventually, I honed my ability to find the most affordable approaches needed to complete my designs and retain full functionality. This is the soul foundation behind Backwoods Technology.
Here are a few of my skills derived from my experiences and ratings in each:
In gathering each of these skills, I have spent endless hours refining my talents, my designs, and my ways of thinking all for the ability to show other like-minded motivated individuals that their ideas don't always need to be locked behind a paywall. Sometimes learning why each item is so expensive in the first place and assembling the components from scratch into something better is a step towards the world's next-best invention.
Here at Backwoods Technology, we want you to realize that there is always another way! We strive to promote uniqueness and provide the tools to go against the grain. So why would you want to have or do what has already been done before you? Show us what you can do differently! Be passionate, unique, and create your masterpiece that everyone else will envy!
